Winter-Ready Nissan Rogue Warrior Concept Rides on Snow Tracks - Motor Trend Article

We have used the Dominator XL tracks on our 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited (LJ) each winter since November 2016 without any problems.  Our stock Jeep with the 4.0L six-cylinder engine, automatic transmission, stock power steering, and aftermarket 4.88 R&P gears was able to run the tracks easily in 4WD high range.  We have since upgraded to a 5.7L V8 and hydraulic steering to increase the fun, but those changes were not required to run the tracks.

The tracks enable our Jeep to drive to our cabin, which is located approximately 8 miles from the end of a plowed road.  Typically, we drive about 20-25 miles per hour on the intermittently groomed trail.  Many a snowmobile rider has been surprised to see us!

We are extremely satisfied with the performance of the tracks.  Of course, I had to find limits - so I did get stuck once or twice.  However, with that experience behind me, I have learned where I can go and where I can't, just like Jeeping with wheels and tires.   All it took was a little common sense.

Each season, we take the Jeep to a garage/shop in a nearby town to have the tracks installed/removed.  The tracked Jeep is easily hauled on a conventional, twin-axle car trailer behind our 3/4 ton pickup.  The install/remove service is performed at a very reasonable cost, and just makes it easier for those of us in our 60's!

We highly recommend Dominator tracks!
